single red raised bump

i flew from london to new york 7 days ago. the day i landed i noticed a red bump on my penis shaft close to the base on my left side. it was not very painful the first day and it doesn't really bother me throughout the day. now, however 7 days later it is still there and it burns a little when i touch it. it does not hurt when i shower. i am indian (brown penis) and i notice the bump is red, it has no liquid secreting from it and when i squeeze lightly i don't notice any puss inside, however the center is shiny red. it has not gotten bigger or smaller in seven days. i am very concerned it may be herpes. any advice would be helpful.

it does not hurt when i urinate, nor do i feel any pain anywhere else in my body. last night when i slept i did notice my heart racing a little as well as my wrists were paining. when i woke up in the morning all weird feelings were gone, but the bump was still there. i have not had sex in over 2 months.

the best thing to do is to be seen and get a proper exam done. this could be any number of things going on and we'd just be guessing. odds are this isn't herpes going on but it'll take a proper exam to know what is causing your symptoms.
