sore throat or herpes

I had what we believe to be my first outbreak of genital hsv1 11 days ago.  It was confirmed by my doctor.  I had fever and low back ache and body aches the night before I recognized the lesions.  This wednesday the 5th I woke with the congestion I've had settled in my throat and my throat is sore.  Could it be just irritated from the post nasal or could I possible have it in my throat.  There are no visible lesions in my mouth or throat.  My throat doesn't even appear red.  I'm just scarred that every thing I feel now is related to that.

Thanks grace.  Yes very nasally congested.  I went to a provider(not the one that diagnosed me with hsv1)  they ran a strep and it was negative.  They say the flu.
Do you know if the H brings these symptoms on or if the symptoms bring the H on.  Or maybe my body is just sick and tired?

You are nasally congested. It's probably related to that.  If you really need peace of mind - see your provider.
