spreading herpes

AAARRRRGGGHHH

I have HSV1.
I get a cold sore every 3-4 months.
I have a cold sore now on my lip, been there two days, sneezed into my shoulder today.

My right eye was open and felt wet with saliva after the sneeze, on the eye and around.  I immediately froze and thought about ocular herpes.  Went and washed off my eye immediately.  Started looking up info online and am freaked.  I take acyclovir 400mg two times a day when I get a cold sore, been on it for two days now and I use abreva.  Is there a good chance that I gave myself ocular herpes?  Would being on the meds have helped to not get it and I got lucky that I was on them?  Another site said that ocular herpes usually occurs during initial oral infections, am I at less risk since I've had it for years?  Or, are they saying that it usually occurs in initial infections because people that know they have it are not dumb enough to sneeze in their eye?  Now that I am freaked about ocular herpes I want to know if the virus itself is what causes blindness or is it the outbreaks going untreated that cause damage?  If I have it will I eventually just get vision damage or will I only get vision damage if I let an outbreak go untreated?  Can I get checked for ocular herpes or do I have to wait for an outbreak in the eye?  Man I hate herpes.

when you get a cold sore you should be taking acyclovir either 500mg 3x/day for 5 days or even more convenient , 800mg 3x/day for 2 days.

you didn't transmit your herpes to other body parts from this.

you never, ever, ever have to treat your cold sores. treating them just helps them heal faster.
