by senseijake, May 28, 2008 10:18AM
I had an Igm and an IgG done. Im am a little confused about the results

IgM
HSV1 nothin was displayed
HSV2 1:30

IgG
HSV1 1:20 Negative
HSV2 negative negative

not sure what this means. everywhere i look says IgM testing is useless and not considered accurate? is this true?

That is correct- the igm test isn't worthwhile.

Please check your results again - were they really reported as 1:20 or 1.2?

yeah they both have a ":" instead of a "."

are you the same person who is posting in the under 25 forum at the herpes homepage?  If so just keep on posting there where you are already getting the help of jess and others who are terrific.
