throat herpes

About 4 and a half weeks ago i preformed oral sex and about two nights ago I found blisters on the roof of my mouth and where my tonsils used to be along with one on my uvula. I had also been tired and had hot flashes along with soreness under my armpit. I have also experienced fatigue, my partner had no signs of herpes and he claims he's been tested and is clean, is it possible that i have contracted herpes? I know some of these are also signs of coxsackie and i am a 17 year old female.

you need to go and be seen today or tomorrow. get your symptoms looked at and mention your recent oral sex you performed so you and your provider can decide if any std related testing should be done orally for you or not.

odds are your partner was never tested for herpes. it's not a part of routine std testing at most clinics.

HSV typically will show with the sores and blisters but in oral cases you would get a few more syptmoms such as a very painful sore throat.  You should be looked at by a provider to find out what your blsiters are.  If the blisters showed up 4 weeks later chances are this isn't herpes.  HSV typically shows up 2-14 days but can up to 2-20 days.

You can also get an HSV Igg Type specific blood test after 12-16 weeks to know your status from this encounter.  Also it wouldn't hurt to know your own status about half the adult us Population has HSV-1.
