transmission of herpes

My sister is currently having an OB. I didn't think anything of it until I was using her shower and her loofah. About half way through my shower, I stopped and began to wonder if herpes could be transmitted that way. She had just taken a shower minutes before me.

everyone in a household should have their own towel, washcloth, toothbrush, razor, body puff /loofah. Sharing them can result in the spread of many common infections.

could you get herpes this way? It's very unlikely to happen though indeed if your sister used it on her genital area and then you used it before it was dry, it could in theory happen. Not likely to have happened but certainly sounds like there are good reasons to change some basic hygiene practices in your household.
