Can anyone tell me if it is possible to have genital herpes even when two type specific blood tests were negative. The first test was done about three or four months after possible infection and the second test was done a year later. Both times the results were negative for genital herpes. I have been examined a number of times by my gynecologist and no sores were found. But, I have been having a burning, uncomfortable irritated feeling in my vagina off and on for over a year now. None of my male partners seem to have any symptoms. Also, I recently had a UTI, which is the first time in my life that has happened to me. I'm trying to figure out if it could be herpes or could it be related to the uterine fibroids I have or possibly perimenopause. Can anyone help me.
