unprotected encounter with promiscuous partner

Six weeks ago, I (a female) had a sexual encounter with a promiscuous male, who to the best of my knowledge has had over 100 sex partners.  He claimed to have been tested for STIs; he knows he has definitely been exposed to HPV, but he did not mention any other viruses.

We engaged in the following unprotected activities:  fellatio, cunnilingus, anilingus (I was the receiver), fingering and genital rubbing.

11 days afterward, I came down with a 102-degree fever that lasted a few days.  I didn't think much of it, assuming it was seasonal, but it recurred three weeks later.

I have not had any genital symptoms that I am aware of, but my fever, coupled with my knowledge of this man's promiscuity, have led me to worry greatly.  I now believe there is an extremely high chance that he was unknowingly carrying HSV-1 and/or HSV-2:  it is statistically certain that he's been exposed to both.

Until I can get a conclusive herpes test result (five months from now), how can I calm myself down about this?  What is the possibility that I am an asymptomatic herpes carrier, after the encounter described above?
