weird cold sore changes

Hi! I have a question about cold sores.

My whole life I have gotten cold sores about once or twice a year, usually due to very consistent trigger factors such as a fever or trauma to my mouth.
For the past 3-4 months I have been getting HORRIBLE cold sores with the start of my period, and this month, I even got a cold sore on the opposite side of my mouth as usual. Also, I got TWO cold sores this month in March. I heard that its impossible for cold sores to appear twice in one month!! And Can a long standing herpes infection switch sides like that ??
If the symptoms were vague I wouldnt think it was herpes, but it is a very typical herpes sore, just really really soon after the last one and on the opposite side of my mouth.

What could be causing this?? have you ever heard of two blisters in one month??

it just happens sometimes.

herpes antivirals in the cold sore doses work best if you start them at the very first sign of a cold sore showing up.

its definitely not a canker sore, it is typical blistering with yellow crusting and clear liquid. Is it possible to get a cold sore, and then 2 weeks later get another one on the opposite side of your mouth??

You should talk to your provider when these "cold sores" are present.  This way they can see and advise you as to what is causing the problem.  Canker sores can be present too.
