what do these results mean

I was recently tested for herpes. The results are below.
HSV I/II IgM ELISA Result 1.10
HSV II Ab IgG Result 2.71
HSV I Ab IgG Result 8.49

The reference range is <=.89 for each test.

I have recently had cold sores but have never had genital sores. Would these results mean I have HSV 2 or could the higher numbers be caused from the fever blisters I've had on my lip? Also, my doctor's nurse told me my results were normal but all 3 tests were flagged as being high.

you can seek out the WB anytime after 4 months after you last had sex to confirm your status.

I dated a man for 2 years and we split up.  I was with one man for 2 1/2 months after that and recently started dating someone else.  I was tested because the subject of STDs came up with my current boyfriend.  I told him I would get tested for everything.  All my other tests were negative, except the HSV 1 and 2 which I knew I had type 1.

your hsv1 is +.  you have a history of cold sores so that was expected.

your hsv2 is also + however it's a low positive which can be a false positive. We recommend confirming your status with a herpes WB blood test. how to obtain one is listed in our read before posting post.

do you have a regular partner?

why did you get tested?
