, obviously i started freaking out and went to the doctor he asked me if ive had any kind of blisters or rash, i never got anything like that besides the tingling. he said that everything should be fine and whatever. its been 2 more months and the tingling is still there with one little difference about 2 weeks ago the skin in the head
was peeling a little, i did some research and some people were saying that it could be a yest infection and recommended using monistat 7, after applying the cream the peeling went away but i started getting lower ab pain so im not using it anymore. could this be herpes even though its been more than 3 months with nothing more that a tingling?
any help wold be nice thanks!
thank you grace for the answer.
no not by the doctor because he said that if i havnt had any blisters after so long then herpes shouldn't be the problem.
what do you think the peeling was?
and if i should continue using the monistat?
for awhile. shes not an "easy"girl or anything like that but a couple of weeks after that is when the itching started. i asked her all kinds of questions about any std's but she said shes clean in fact shes only been with one guy before me and they used protection. its not that im going around having unprotected sex. and i don't have insurance so that's why i need you help, the itching has never hurt or i have never had any rashes at all, besides the peeling skin that i had but after the monistat it went away but the itching still there. is there anything else that you can think of.
there is a free clinic that ive been to before but the doctors there are not very helpful since they volunteer, so basically they just find anything to tell you and get you out quick.
thanks
Like grace said it appears that it could be fungal. Your risk is pretty low on a one time encounter as not every encounter leads to infection. If there has been 3-4 months between your last sexual encounter and now then you can get a Herpes Type Specific blood test which will give you an accurate result. You can try to call your city health department and see what other STD clinics are around your area that you can get Herpes testing. You want to get the igg blood testing though.
