when was i infected?

I just got my Herpes Blood Test results:
HERPES I, IgM: 0.51
HERPES I, IgG 0.42
HERPES II IgM 0.79
HERPES II, IgM 2.40

my doctor says that i got the virus a long time ago.. about 3, 6 or more months ago.. How can she tell? And, can i know for sure if it was 6 months or more ago? I would really like to know the aproximate date.. is it possible?
She also told me that the sores i recently have are not herpes.

Totally disregard the herpes igm test results. They are meaningless and your provider should get out of the habit of ordering them.

Your hsv1 igg is negative.

Your hsv2 igg is a low positive and needs confirmed with further testing. A herpes WB or a herpes biokit hsv2 igg blood test would be good for that purpose.

If you do have hsv2, there's no way to tell how long you've had it from the blood tests either.
