whitheads, fever

After having unprotected sex, 2 days later I discovered about 10 bumps around the base of my penis. When popped puss came out and it acted like a pimple. After washing with antibacterial soap for a week or so the bumps have gone away and just left small scars. A few days into this I developed a fever at about 101, which left the next day after taking some tylenol.
The bumps were never really itchy. I was convinced it was folliculitis but the fever threw me off. I'm a little concerned it might be herpes, but wouldn't the first outbreak take place on the penis? And wouldn't it have been incredibly painful?

No herpes doesn't appear in clusters all the time.

At this point since you popped them and they are almost healed, not much you can do. If they should reoccur, see your provider immediately.

Since the sex was unprotected, you should follow up with a full std screening.

the doctors on the other forum say that usually the first outbreak is on the penis if you are heterosexual.  I am not a doctor but they said it usually is. I hope they are right for both our sakes.
