i had a possible exposure to herpes virus about four and a half months ago(4.5 months)... there is only type non specific tests available in my country...
my results at 3 months were 0.4 for IGG...positive being over 0.9
at 4.5 months: IGG was 0.63... positive being over 0.90
the girl was herpes negative at the time we had encounter... she had tested the same way.. unfortunately i have lost contact with her...
I think your 4.5 month test is at least 90-95% accurate. What helped me a lot was adding up all of the percentages. The risk of being infected in a one time, protected encounter being around 1:1000, figure at least 50:50 to have some sort of identifiable symptoms of primary
infection, plus the low chances 5% of a false negative test and you're talking odds of somewhere around 1:40000 if it was a one time encounter. I know that's not scientific, but it helps. I'm not completely over my unwarranted paranoia either, but it's getting better.
if i get a herpes type specific test, will the result be conclusive at this time?
i never had lesions..but i did have some intense itch that even break my sleep at night.... i had some red rash which i tried to pop and caused injury.. the ones which were left had disappeared by themselves... the groin
