This forum is an un-mediated, patient-to-patient forum for questions and support regarding herpes issues such as: Herpes symptoms and treatments, causes, diagnosis, and herpes in men, tests, telling your spouse or partner.
the only thing that worries me is that i dont think he tested me for herpes or assumed i didnt have it cuz i didnt have any symptoms or outbreaks everything else was neg though
hi yes he did take blood from my arm and said hes checking for antibodies and something about it makes antibodies to fight the virus so im assuming he would of told me if he found antibodies maybe im just worrying to much i havent had really any symptoms that i noticed it dosent really burn to pee nor have i seen anything else besides the pimple like things in my pubic area wich only hurt if i pressed on them and it didnt hurt to pop them but they did itch a lil
Yep, it sounds like they did a herpes test. You may be worrying too much here.
If you tested negative at least 4 months after your unprotected sex, and you haven't had sex since then, and don't have any symptoms of herpes, there is no reason to worry.
The symptoms you are describing don't sound like herpes at all.
Being paranoid about it will drive you crazy, just take it as a lesson learned to always practice safe sex....and move on.
If it will make you feel 100% better to re-test, I guess you could do that. But I really don't see a reason to do that.
hi thank you so much for your help and your right i probly wont get re tested unless i notice something crazy happening down there other then the pimple things yes i never had sex after that one time and im not going to till im married i learned my lesson and yes it was way over 4 months when i got tested maybe close to a year i just thought it was odd he didnt say anything about herpes but if he thought i was infected hed say something so your probly right im worrying to much here thanks again for your help
