wrestlers herpes

Hello, I have wrestlers herpes and I am wondering how I can keep my girlfriend from getting it.  We have been kissing and things of the sort but we are not sexually active.  So is there anyway we can keep her from getting it and will I have wrestlers herpes forever or will it go away?

Hey Grace, Just wondering i had unprotected sex with a girl and got herpes complex 1 just under my belt line, They took a swab test of a blister to diagnose it, i asked the doctor if i could still have unprotected sex with my girlfriend since its not on my penis, its just above the base, and he sayed its no problem as long as there are no blisters or rash. But im still scared to have sex, the rash is almost gone now its been about 1 month since it started. He was saying its like gladiator herpes and wrestler herpes, but the girl will obviously come in contact with that part of my skin during intercourse, wouldnt it shed ? even when it's not there ? Thanks

no herpes never goes away.

herpes gladiatorium is typically hsv1. when you were diagnosed did you have typing done to know what type it is?  I think your other post mentioned hsv1 but I just glanced at it and saw it was basically the same as this post.  it's easiest to keep it all in one post so just keep it all here - thanks!

your herpes is only contagious when you have active lesions.

do you wrestle? if so are you familiar with the guidelines for treating your herpes during wrestling season?

has your gf been tested to know her own herpes status?
