BP Meds

Is it normal to still feel fatigue after taking the bp meds for a few months? I thought the fatigue was supposed to go away after the body gets used to the bp meds???

hi there. Everyone reacts differently to the meds. To be honest they all have side effects, some more than others. I am about 18 months on them and its horrid to be honest. But what can we do?
I stopped one tablet called Coversil. The cough was horrendous with it.
I take daily :  Labetholol 200, Olmersartan 20, Spiroaldactone 50, Statin 40,
,Amlodipine 5, Thiazide 12.5                                                                  They give me a foggy head all day, Scalp tingle (From Labetholol) unable to concentrate, fatigue and of course the numerous toilet trips. It does settle, but it does not completely disappear. Some people find taking meds at night etc helps?

Diovan is usually well tolerated.   I had an awful time on bystolic...it made me sick to my stomach.

Everyone is different and luckily, there are dozens of HP meds you can try.   It often takes a bit of tweaking back and forth until you and your doctor find the right one.   Did you tell your doc about the fatigue?

I am taking the generic of Diovan 160 mg. I was thinking of trying bystolic, but I have heard that it was expensive.

What are you taking?

I was on beta blockers for weeks, and the fatigue didn't go away.   I had my doctor switch me to something else, and I feel fine now.
