Comparision btn losartan vs olmesartan

Hallo there -anyone and everyone. Is there any reasons to prefer or take losartan above olmesartan or the olmesartan above losartan. Person taking these is african, 57 years, female and oh, my mother. thanks

Both are ARBs and work by keeping your arteries more flexible. I am on olmesartan and it has worked well for me over the past 6 years. You should not be able to tell a difference between the two except that olmesartan is more expensive as there is no generic.

Update- hypertension patient now on  olmesartan 50ml until because Losartan run out!!! Hope this will not have a consequence on her heart/ateries. She will go back to Losartan in a month's time.
