Hubby 28 HBP and Drs not giving answers

Hi everyone new here! My husband is 28 non- smoker and  non- drinker but on rare occasions.. Also has a family history of high blood pressure-- his  mom ,brothers uncles grandmother and father all at young age. I myself work at an assisted living facility for the elderly as a nurses assistant. I started taking his blood pressure about a year ago and his numbers are always high especially the bottom one is between 90 and 104 . He also has severe shortness of breath when he is just sitting doing nothing. The shortness of breath comes and goes ... My husband had an appointment  a few weeks ago at the Dr for BP check and it was early in am and he had just woken up about 40 min before. when we arrived his blood pressure was not to bad only 135/88 so they were like your are being a worry wart and sent him on his way. I have had been taking  for a month every day and it was higher but I took it before bed.. My question is is your bp lower in the am when fyoy awaken? Also I had coworkers also check it and it was high?? Should he get  second opinion?he hates drs and it was hard getting him in first time and they shop him off! The dr also said he is too young for meds. My worry is his mother and uncles all had it severe starting early 20s and also the shortness of breath worry a me lots he gets it all day! About six weeks ago it was so bad I brought him to emergency room and his BP was 178/110 they said to see a ref Dr and sent him on his way! My boss who is a nurses also said leaving HBP unattended is dangerous for your organs? Any advice is extremely appreciated !

Hi there. You need to get a 24ABPM test done as a starting point. This will give a much better record of the blood pressure throughout a full day & night. I would definitely investigate, primarily on the basis of family history alone. Surely the doctors would have done a Heart Echo test, to check for Heart function, on the basis of his shortness of breadth symptoms. I am not a doctor, but am surprised at this. Ask for one. Write down all your concerns and go back to the doctor with the list. In terms of blood pressure peaks, this varies from person to person. However there is usually a trend for it to rise early in the morning. A lot of peoples BP falls at night, this is a normal dip. But not everyone's BP dips, in fact some go in reverse, known as a non dipper. High BP can cause Heart failure symptoms over a period of time, so it needs investigation. You don't say if he currently takes any meds? or what his weight and fitness levels are in general? Anyway it needs to be taken seriously and FULLY investigated, for peace of mind, if nothing else. Hi I notice you have six kids have you ask if they misbehave when your gone...
Believe it or not that could be it...is there lots of noise and arguing going on
If so that could be it. No one wants to complain about there own children because it could hurt you ...what we do it not let the room noise get over 10 decimals its helps a lot ...good luck)
