What can I expect?

Is there anyone out there that's dealing with or have general knowledge about LVH that's is left ventricular hypertrophy (moderate stage). I'm a 24 year old male and I've had hypertension for year now getting to where I can keep it under 140 (systolic) my systolic is always normal. What can I expect from this finding? Will I serve a lot of complication in my future from it? Shorter life span? I need some insight...I generally take care of my body, I lift weights and I'm normal weight for my 6'3 height. I get skipped beats off and on about everyday now

@Tacolino thanks for your response. I've had a heart echo and blood work done. I've had urine tests to check for proteins ex. I've had my aorta looked at, I've had a kidney renal done and that was ok. My Bp never fluctuated much it usually consistently stayed high in the 140/70-150-78. Now I take some extra mess it runs 117-130/70-60...sometimes it may peak at 140 in between does after it wears off. Any advice? I've not don't a 24 hour Bp monitor because I have a 100$ system I use at home that's accurate

Hi there. The LVH can be caused by hypertension, so you are totally correct to get it well controlled. What tests have you had? Have you had a 24ABPM ? or an Echo or Angio? I presume you have had all the blood work? Would be worth a little look at Kidney function and Aldesterone levels too. You masy need to work on revising your drug regieme for the BP to get it down more.  Is there any significant pattern in your BP numbers, like night Dip or night Rise?. Deffo rule out any possible secondary causes.

I appreciate your response brother, I'm on serveral meds to lower my Bp because he wants it below 130. Seems like I was doing ok for the first few days and now it's running high again... I eat rather healthy for the most part. I exercise but nothing's keeping my top number where it should be. With LVH I need to keep it low so it doesn't progress as fast or may reverse

How you doing there bro I wouldn't worry too much about that... blood pressure is best controlled by a healthy diet basically that means you can't eat food at fast food restaurants very often.
There's an online blood pressure diet that is really good you could do along with your exercise regimen.
You may find out you don't really have a problem salt is a tricky thing it's in just about everything and that's what drives up your blood pressure...
If you do these few things you should live just as long as anybody else...
If you doing these things in your still having high blood pressure ask your doctor about water pills it's harder to keep salt out of your body in the winter time... I wouldn't sweat anything else enjoy your life hope this helps.
