Hello...I just had a second echo by a different cardiologist, and it came back mild mitral, not moderate, trace ticuspid regurg..not mild as on other echo. Also showed trace Pulmonary regurg...and the RSVP was 26 on this echo. Everything was normal, sizes of valves and function...EF was 60%, and right atrium pressure of 3...He cleared me for a hysterectomy, saying I didn't have it, the PH. I just wonder how he can say I don't have it by the echo results...I am leery of the surgery in June still.
Nobody answered but curious if you got the information you needed. If the right atrium and right ventricle were normal in size then the likelihood of PH is pretty minimal. The RSVP is estimated off the tricuspid regurgitation jet (which almost all healthy people have) so its quite normal to see readings higher than 35. Some people even show numbers in the 40's and after performing a right heart cath they find its completely normal. Overestimated by ECHO more than underestimated.
