!4 Years on

Hi all

14 Years ago I had HPV. what kind I don't know but I had a few warts
Seems Like 14 Years later I'm having a occurrence (3 warts) or is it possible it is an entirely new infection?
I've read up a lot on the forum so far, and seem to think that people clear the virus eventually.
I'm sexually active and have had a few partners, I'm concerned that I have infected them :-( over the years....
Also I was married and my wife had no signs or symptoms and we had an amazing baby boy many years ago.
hmmm, that also leaves me asking, how easy can I transfer the virus to him, (kissing good night etc)

Do you have oral warts? If you do, then kissing is possible. Otherwise, there's no way to transmit genital warts by kissing.

Genital warts transmission that does not require sexual contact would be a very simple case of a person touching his own genital when warts and present, not washing and continuing daily activity.

Imagine if a person who has genital warts, he used the toilet without washing his hands and later on proceeds to shake hands with a stranger. Stranger uses the toilet, by touching his penis while using the urinal, he will then pass the genital warts from hand to his genitals.

So kissing is perfectly fine UNLESS you have oral warts.

Also, regarding recurrence 14 years later, most likely due to a new strain. The strain of virus should be suppressed if there're no visible infection or lesions for more than 6 months. If there are any new ones, most likely, it'd be a new strain. But you should check with the doctor to confirm.

You said it yourself that you have had few partners and you are sexually active, 95% i would say it's the new infection.

Your wife had no signs and you were married. You said "had" and "was", which I assume you didnt have that new infection when you were still actively having sex with your ex-wife.

I went to a Doc first as it started more like an irritation, doc took a look and said.. hey dont' worry.... it's just because of thrush or some sort and gave me a topical cream.... 4 days later it still didn't feel quite right so I went to a Derm,.. He looked and said yip HPV, and then said, don't worry about it it's like a wart on your arm, that wouldn't stress you out... so I'm trying to stay calm this time round...

as for Oral warts, I have no clue.... paranoia might cause me to think I have or this lump and that bump etc...., have been checking as if you look you find,,, might be might not, only way to know is to ask I guess. don't know much about Oral warts as there seems to be little information out there about it.
will call my Derm tomorrow to ask where I can get it checked up....

hmmm, i think we were sexually active while I had it if I remember correctly, we didn't know what it was for about 2 weeks untill I said I think I should have this seen to....
She was my first btw....

A little update
I'm going to be using a product called Wartec.
Also realizing this is a viral infection I'm trying to boost my immune system,
Taking Viral Choice as well as Colloidal Silver...
Will give the 2 above a go for about 2 months. hoping to clear it (again). puts hand over eyes
Will give feedback to those that would like.

Also my current GF....  amazing,
I tell her hey somethings going on down there with me. I get it looked and embarrassingly look at her and say HPV. Her and I be on off for a while, but she hasn't been sexually active while we were off. (off means 3 months or more)
She says oh. my Gynie said its common, so common that she said vaccinating against it is pretty pointless, just paps every year is ok.
Now her and I have unprotected sex and yes it was while I was infected and didn't know.
I'm stressing she is not, she says do you have any idea how many things our body is fighting as we speak" "what did the doc say"I reply that he said it's common and shouldn't worry, she kisses me on the lips and says "dont' worry then just treat it"and makes me a cup of tea.
Needless to say, I'm making her take the vit's I'm about to take, to hopefully prevent her having a breakout or hopefully her body just kills it dead with the boost.
