After being diagnosed?

So I was just diagnosed with genital warts(HPV) of course I was upset all day with the thought that I am stuck with this all my life. I have several questions...if the warts are not showing am I able to have sex without spreading it or no matter what I will always spread it to whomever I am with? Also what about oral sex is it forever to never happen again because I don't want to take a chance on that someone getting them in their mouth?
thanks

Well I just know what it has done for me and it has helped cleared up my spots and its better than using what the doctor gave me because it can break your skin all the way open. The apple cider doesn't hurt so bad. Just have to make sure you don't get a large amount on it. Just depends on the person I guess!

Be careful. Many people have come on here talking about experiencing quite a bit of pain with apple cider vinegar.

Plus, there is no proof that it actually works.

Thanks so much , I read the whole website ! I'll try anything at this point !!! I have had this burning on fire for 9 months now I cant take it anymore.......they said my warts are flat but I think there inflamed as well ....I also am extremely extremely stressed over this situation to the point where my blood pressure is elevated ....and It never has been before.....This is a nasty painful virus for me ..... I would less stress if I wasn't is so much pain all the time ..... but again thank so much ....Hopefully this will do the job !!!

So everything I posted above...I have a note about it. I suggest not using the tea tree oil to help rid the pain...I just did and its like I just set everything on fire and its not one of those feelings that its working and just suck up the pain. Its like I just set the forth of july off in my pants! I don't know if I used to much or what but I won't be doing that anymore. I will be using the aspirin, vit E and apple cider vinegar...it has gone great so far!!!

Well I tried aspirin crushed up about 25 or better, vitamin E oil, and apple cider vinegar all mushed together and then put it on the spots. It will burn some but it helped me. I only have one more little spot left. I'm going to try adding castor oil and see if that helps get rid of it all. Tea tree oil is also suppose to help with the irritation after the treatment. here is the link where i found alot of helpful information....just keep reading all the way down. It helps with ideas...

Thanks for the information...I'm curious about the 8-24 months or the 6-8 months....my doctor made it sound like no matter what for the rest of my life I will spread this to whomever I am with?? See I'm curious if maybe i have a wrong diagnosis because whenever I got the diagnosis I came home and looked for home remedies instead of trying the aldara because I'm sensitive down there and she said I could end up with my skin breaking open and everything...well as soon as i tried the home remedy almost all the spots went away besides one little one. They didn't look like normal warts from the get go plus I tried the vinegar test and nothing changed color. So I'm questioning and I just want to understand all this! Thanks for the info though!

Great website bebe. Also, check out http://www.ashastd.org/learn/learn_hpv_myths.cfm  ... and ...   http://www.ashastd.org/hpv/hpv_overview.cfm

Both those websites really helped me!

The bad news is that you're stuck with it for life. Good news, is that your immune system suppresses it within 8-24 months! It's just like a flu virus, you get it once, you're immune from that specific strain for life. Only, if your immune system weakens, warts can pop up. But, after treatment, if you go 6-8 months without reoccurence, you can safely assume you've suppressed the virus that that it's not transferrable..that is until you get sick or stressed or something else weakens your immune system. As for oral sex, don't worry. Transmission is very, very, very low orally. Just be safe until the 6-8months after treatment is up. You should be just fine. The virus is very, very, very common nowadays..a lot of ppl don't even know they have it!

I found this website. I was recently diagnosed, a few days ago actually and so i totally understand how you are feeling. Im confused because im not sure whether this means my partner has been messing around or if this is something he had been carrying around for a while. Anyways have a read, http://www.cdc.gov/STD/HPV/STDFact-HPV.htm...Hope that helps
