Any Way To Avoid HPV While Dating?

by bjune0266, Jul 08, 2009 08:30PM
Or is it nearly impossible to avoid like HSV 1 (oral herpes)?? I always use condoms and am not promiscous. Also i date individuals with few sexual partners in the past. My close friends do the same but it seems nearly all of them have HPV in some form from what they disclose to me. Is it futile to avoid contracting HPV?? And does it really clear the most people???

It clears for most people, and nearly everybody gets at least one strain. The only real way to avoid HPV is abstinence or lifelong monogamy with a partner who has never had a previous partner.Fortunately for most people, HPV does not lead to any serious problems and many people become infected and clear the virus without recognizing the infection.
