Are they warts or not?

Just to give some background, i have been with the same sexual partner for the last 6 months. about 1-2 months ago i noticed 3 tiny little bumps on my vagina on the labia majora... just to the left of the opening. i didn't really think too much of it and now it seems like they are getting bigger. although they aren't growing extremely fast, i am still worried they could be warts. they are small, pink, round, and fairly smooth in appearence. they almost look like a cluster, but when i spread the area you can see they are actually not really connected. i also noticed that i have 3 also very tiny bumps on the actual opening of my vagina on the bottom part( not really quite inside). i noticed them a little after i noticed the first ones. also, in the last 3 weeks my rectum kind of hurts. sometimes its like a burning sensation. and it just feels kind of uncomfortable all the time. sometimes worse then others. there was one time i tried anal sex with my boyfriend. about 2-3 months ago i guess. i didn't know if there was a connection with the bumps on the vagina. the bumps on the vagina dont hurt like that though.
i dont have insurance right now so i went to the local health department for someone to take a look at them(they said they did treat stds). the head nurse of the department (who had apparently 'seen alot' and worked there 20yrs) looked at them and said they did not look like warts(the bumps on the labia majora). she put gloves on and kind of prodded at them. i dont think she saw the ones on the opening. she was very quick to tell me that they werent warts.
i left feeling very relieved... but a couple days later i noticed the three bumps on the labia majora (one in particular) was getting a little bigger. and.... i am still having the pain in my rectum(although i dont see anything wierd on the outside of it).
that was about 2 weeks ago now. 2 days ago i put white vinegar on a q-tip and kept applying it to the 3 bumps on the labia majora. i checked them today and they are almost completely gone. the area is almost practically smoothed down. i have no idea if the fact that its getting better would imply that those are warts, or are not warts. i am also still confused and worried about all these symtoms( the other bumps on the opening of vag. and rectal pain). surely i can not apply vinegar on the vagina opening or in the rectum! i want to see a doctor but i am literally in the middle of trying to get insurance. if i see the dr.  and i have warts, it will be a preexisting condition.
please give me your opinion on if this sounds like warts. and would warts on the genital area usually go away with vinegar treatment?

In my experience, ingrown hairs can usually be popped, but not always. I saw my doctor when I was younger for the same problem, an ingrown hair "down there." I was confused though because it was in an area that I didn't shave back then.

I don't believe you can cause warts to grow larger by irritating them.

How long after anal sex did you begin to experience the pain in your rectum? I don't have anal sex, but from what I've learned, anal sex can lead to anal ulcerations. The skin is very thin and sensitive and can break easily. This is especially true when having anal sex without a condom or in the absence of lubrication. Did you use a condom? Did you use an adequate amount of lubrication? If it is simply an ulceration due to anal sex, I think you will just have to give it time to heal. Bowel movements can definitely irritate such ulcerations. Try including A LOT more fiber in your diet for softening. Off the top of my head, I'd say to start taking vitamin E capsules to speed healing. Perhaps there are products available for hemorrhoids that you could benefit from? Hemorrhoids are ulcerations on the rectum caused by hard bowel movements. Check the pharmacy. If they make any kind of suppository to help heal hemorrhoids, this should help you.

to answer your quesion, when i went to the health department the head nurse said that they looked like ingrown hair follicles or something. she said they did not look like warts. she kept repeating that and told me to quit shaving. well since then i havent shaved and the bumps  got a little bigger(theyve gone away now bc of the vinegar). i dont know if she triggered them growing by irritating them. but they definitely would not pop or anything when i was inspecting them. one bump that got a little bigger than the others definitely did look to me like a small fleshy growth. at this point i dont know what to do bc i am definitely uncomfortable bc of whatevers going on in my rectum. looks completely normal on the outside of it. at the health department they said they dont look inside the rectum. or that they didnt have any instrament for that. i think the little tiny bumps on the opening of the bottom part of the vagina get irritated with sexual intercourse. when i have intercourse with my boyfriend(who has never had any warts) i notice a burning sensation. i dont know im really confused and overwhelmed.

I just thought of something. Look into Molluscum Contagiosum. It is a virus that usually affects children. However, adults can also get it from sexual intercourse with an infected person. You can also get it from swimming pools.

Apple cider vinegar is also used for treating Molluscum Contagiosum as well genital warts, but to a lesser extent. Here is a page with a little info on the matter:

Let me see if I can help you at all here :)

First of all, if they are not warts, did anyone at the clinic happen to take a stab at what they could be?

bijoux is partly right. Warts can appear as skin tags. However, they can also be bumps. They can be large or small. They can be flat or raised. They can appear in clusters or alone.

Vinegar is a natural remedy for genital warts. Actually, vinegar is a natural remedy for any kind of warts. I'm unsure as to whether the vinegar shrinks the wart or if it simply causes the wart to fall off. Perhaps it is even different for different people and different types of warts. You can put vinegar on the vaginal opening, you can even use it on your rectum. however, be aware that vinegar kills bacteria and while you're not putting your health in jeopardy by using it, you're likely to upset the "ecosystem" of bacteria in your vagina. This just means using vinegar can result in a yeast infection. If you decide to use it, you may want to alternate between inserting vinegar, and inserting plain organic yogurt. Yogurt promotes growth of good bacteria in the vagina, as does acidophilus. You can purchase probiotics or acidophilus and actually insert the pills into the vagina to promote growth of healthy bacteria. Just a thought.

As for the pain in your rectal area, I'm sorry I have no idea if it would cause pain to have genital warts there. Surely I would think it would at least cause discomfort. That's just a guess on my part. Also, you don't need to have anal sex to get genital warts in the anal area. Many people with hpv who have never engaged in anal sex experience warts in the anal area and especially the perineum.

Here is a link to a page that has a lot of feedback on using vinegar (apple cider) for removal of genital warts. You can read how others' warts reacted when using vinegar treatment and how long the treatment took.

Hope this helps! :)
