I thought I would poll the readers of this forum to see what others are experiencing/have experienced for remission times for HPV. There seems to be a lot of info indicating "6 to 24 months" as a rate before all warts have cleared and no longer reappear. What have you experienced? Where were your warts located? What treatment methods did you use?
I was diagnosed two months ago with two warts on my shaft. I had those frozenFrozen shoulder off (one required two treatments, the other only one), but then others quickly appeared at the base of my shaft. I used a combo of freezing on some, and podofiloxPodofilox topical on the others. In my experience, the podofiloxPodofilox topical seems to work quicker (one one-week application per the instructions), and the redness subsides a lot quicker. I've since had recurrences, with the time between recurrences getting longer: I just found one today after not seeing anything for about three weeks. All of those I've found on my groinGroin lump Groin pain Groin stretch Jock itch Swollen lymph nodes in the groin are extremely tiny - about the size of a pinhead.
I wanted to ask this question so that my expectations for clearance are reasonable. Perhaps some other future readers will be able to use the responses of others to set their minds at ease as well.
