Basic Questions

Hello, I know that some of these questions I'm about to ask could be found by doing some research online I'm just not sure about how to do all that. Hopefully someone can help. A couple months ago I got diagnosed with HPV, not the one with the warts (I'm not sure if it's type 1 or 2), for now I've only gone back for my 3 month check up but I haven't heard from the doctor since then. I know that there's no way of really knowing who gave it to me. My questions are:

However long it takes for HPV to go away, does that mean that I'm 'cured' & I don't pass it on to anyone else?
If I have HPV and a man gives me oral sex, can he get it? ...Same with me performing oral sex on an infected man?
If my HPV goes away, I'm always at a risk of getting it once again with a new sex partner?

I've also heard of a procedure/surgery that's been done to this girl because her HPV (cancer causing) was too advanced and then she said that after getting that surgery she would never get HPV again, is this true?

I am also going to get the HPV shot soon, at least for the other 3 types that are left since I already have one of them I guess. But since I'm getting the vaccines that are for the 4, I know that it won't cure me from the one I have but can it still prevent me from getting that SAME type again?

How effective are the HPV shots?

How can men get checked to see if they have HPV? Or is there not a way.
