Bleeding after cone biopsy?

Bleeding after cone biopsy?

I have had the cone biopsy procedure less than 2 weeks ago.I have been bleeding which i was expecting.I also was put on antibiotics due to a poss infection.I am still bleeding. It doesn't seem to be improving. Now also keep in mind that I am on birth control which i was advised by my doctor that it was ok to "skip"my period. So i did.Lastnight while goin to the br, more blood came out along with material that looked like a peice of the stitches. Is it just excess stitch material that came out?Are my stitches healing?Am I bleeding more now because it's around that time for my cycle?I am expected to go back to work before i see the doctor, hoping i will be ok.Someone please help!

After a cone biopsy, you can expect bleeding for up to a week and spotting and discharge for up to 3 weeks. Avoid tampons and sexual intercourse for three weeks also. Nothing in the vagina is the general rule of thumb. You need to call your doctor persistent pelvic pain, heavy bleeding, and a foul smelling discharge. Also, watch out for a fever, which can indicate infection.
