hey, hollyhopkins,
I have a similar question.
I have had only one sexual partner who is my husband.
I was tested HPV non-16/18 positive last month.
I don't know if it's possible I will be tested HPV 16/18 positive later even though we are and will be both faithful to each other.
Where did you get tested? I have never heard of certain types of hpv identified, unless under special research settings. Usually the results just come back positive or negative for HPV.
Instead of believing that the virus mutated within her or your body, I would say it is more likely she gave you types 39 and 59, then they became dormant in her own system. I would also say that you just have not contracted type 58 from her yet.
I don't see why it matters whether or not it mutated or just became dormant... fact of the matter is you have it. Let's move forward...
My Best,
Rainn
