Can a 26 year old male get a HPV vaccine?

My recent test results detected type 16 and 18 HPV. My doctor does not seem considered and said that it should go away on it's own. Now I am wondering if my fiance should get the vaccine. Although, I do believe he gave it to me and he is 26 so....I didn't know if he can get the vaccine. I just wanted to prevent any exposure.

If your fiance and you have had sex, then he already has what you have. Its pointless for either of you to get vaccinated as long as you are both monogamous. The vaccine won't take away what you (and he) has. It is only meant to prevent exposure to the 4 most popular strains. You have 2 of the 4.  So does he.
