Can a finger wart spread to my penis?

About 2 years ago, I noticed a bump on my index finger. It occured shortly after I burnt it, so someone wrongly told me the growth was scar tissue. I believed him, and it remained for some time. About mid last year, I used Freeze Away, and the ducktape method to get rid of it; and it disappeared, and has yet to come back (disappeared July 2009). Well, not to long ago I noticed a tiny cluster of 3 white bumps on my glans penis. They are very small, and hard to notice; but since I'm aware, I notice it very easily. You have to look closely, and usually spread the glans to see them, but they are there. I don't know exactly what it is, but could HPV have been spread from my index finger to my penis head through masturbation, or such?

I've looked online, and found conflicting reports; Yes they can spread anywhere, and No, hand warts will stick to hands, as they're a whole different strain. I'm very concerned, but can't afford to go pay medical bills to just have it examined. I highly doubt they're an external STD, as me and my gf were both virgins when we started dating.

Could someone please give me advice, or help on the matter, as I'm very scared I gave myself a life ruining STD.

hey,
emmm, i guess you will have to go to the STD clinic to know for sure, regular docs arnt as used to seeing this kind of thing as the ones in the STD clinic, and if your using an anti-fungal on it and it is in fact warts it will only make it worse as it is a steriod cream. id recommend that you do to the clinic and get it checked it out.

Best of luck.

Ive just been given the all clear from my doc at the STD clinic so i hope you have the success that ive had.

Regards.

Well, I went to have it checked at a clinic, and I don't know what to do from here. He looked at my penis, but the lighting was odd, so I couldn't pinpoint the cluster. After examining, he said I didn't have warts, and offered a urine test to look for infections. Came back clean on the urinalysis; and he gave me some antifungal for it. Well, been using it a week now, and hasn't shrunk, or disappeared. He described what HPV looked likie (what you see on google), but could he have not known all the appearances? I'm still worried, as ever since I spotted it, all I notice is that tiny white "patch" of the glans penis. They even look whiter, in my opinion. Am I just paranoid, or should I get it checked again.

hey,
Firstly, genital wart HPV is a different strain to the one on your hand or other parts of your body. Secondly, it is not a life ruining STD either, with treament it is treatable in a few months as is any wart for the record. you do however need to go to your doctor to have it properly diagnosed. You mentioned that you were both virgins when ye met, but have you had foreplay with previous partners or has she? The HPV can ba spread through skin to skin contact, even if you dont have sex. It is unlikely that you have warts but the only way you can find out for sure is if you have it checked out. Im not sure what country you live in but you can visit your local STD clinic and some are free of charge as they are in Ireland. im not sure you can buy over the counter treatments and i would be very reluctant to do so as warts can be stuborn to treat as i have discovered.
Best of luck with it and i hope you will be ok.

Worried.
