Contageous suring Latency/ incubation period??

Question:
If I had sex with someone one week after I was with the person who infected me with HPV, but didnt have any visible genital warts until a month later... was I contageous yet? I didnt know I had it then, and I now know who gave it to me and am scared to tell the other person who I was with afterwards just once.
Isnt there a latency period? Are we contageous during that time? Please help!

when u show warts u r contagious!a latency period with HPV would be unknown....2 many unknowns with HPV in general.....consider urself contagious when u show proof u have it!
