Do I Have HPV?

hi,

About a month ago i noticed 3 very small raised bumps at the base of my shaft, along the pubic hair region.  just out of boredom today i happened to be scoping myself out to see what all is going on with the bumps...turns out i have about 10 more spread out over a 2by1 inch span at the base still.  the sizes vary from pen point to the size of a dot a normal sharpie permanent pen would make....

I have had 2 sexual partners in my entire life, both of which claim to "be clean".

I also have run track and cross country competitvely for highschool and college, and as a runner, when you have to go to the bathroom...you have to go.  On many occasions if the seat looked clean, i just quickly wiped off with some toilet paper then sat down.

Upon realizing all this, I have spent the last 2 hours examining myself and looking up HPV/Genital Warts.
I have never even had regualr warts in my life, and all the pictures of warts, especially genital, look completely overgrown and either all over the shaft and head of the penis, or clustered in uncountable numbers.  The bumps i have are hardly raised, and they are very small and not as numerous.

My question to anyone who is willing to give advice...would it seem logical to believe i have HPV?

Hey...first don't look up pics of warts online, it is very hard to find pics that are not very scary, gross or just freakish!

I posted pics of my own warts to help other women not be so upset when viewing all those other pics that had me totally scared. Now, my having warts in my vagina I would assume they are going to look different than warts on a penis look like. For all the info and postings I have read the spot you are seeing what can be warts is one where men seem to often have them. So is around the head of the penis. I think the base of the shaft might be a common spot because condoms don't cover that area and/or during sex that area might be more exposed to where the woman has warts. Def that would be the case with where I have warts. My own warts spread to my own skin that is touching them.

Now, I am not saying what you have is warts and no one here can. You need to go to a doc, a dermatologist.

As far as the girls you have been with being clean, HPV is very common and almost everyone will be exposed in their lifetime. There are almost 200 strains, about 40 are genital and not everyone has symptoms. It is spread via skin to skin contact not with fluids. Sometimes people have no symptoms but can spead it to a partner. It is basically a skin condition, just as warts on the hand. Wart are from the low risk strains, cell changes which tend to effect women more are from the high risk strains.

You can't get HPV via toilet seats...maybe there is a rare chance but it is very rare. I only say this because sometimes people who have only ever had one partner (virgin+virgin) get HPV. Again, this is rare, just as serious health issues from HPV are rare.
