This forum is an un-mediated, patient-to-patient forum for questions and support regarding HPV issues such as: genital warts, causes, diagnosis, cervical cancer, HPV in men, PAP tests, treatment, telling your spouse or partner
I have recently noticed two very tiny brown warts, one on each side near the urethra (between the clitoris and vulvaVaginal itching).
I went to the gynaec he says it not HPV as HPV looks very different. He's put some solution to make it fall off, but they are still there after 3 days.
Genital to Genital contact is a way to transmit HPV, penetration is not required. Anal sex is also a risk.
Your should tell your GYN that you have probably been exposed to the HPV strains that cause genital warts, so that he/she can do a thourough examination. Also, bring up your flow concerns. While urethral warts would affect urine flow, the cause may be unrelated. The flow issue should be resolved though, so I think another doctor's appointment is warranted.
Regarding the bumps that were removed, I would trust your doctors expertise. If they do not look like warts to the doctor, they probably were not warts.
I saw the doc again as the so called 'warts' have not fallen off. They have turned black though. He says it's not HPV. And that they are not warts as they have no neck.
I have to wait and see if they fall off or not. I plan to try home remedy (apple cider vinegar) if they are not gone!!
Mentioned the urine retention, he says I need a cystoscopy.
What tests can be done to rule out HPV? I've never had vaginal intercourse so if he did a pap smear it would be normal.
Outside of cervical infections, HPV is usually diagnosed through visual examination. I would trust your doctor's diagnosis. Perhaps the cystoscopy will provide some answers.
