Do gential warts, skin tags, and molluscum all turn white when froze?

I  had fleshy growth at the base of my penis last year towards the beginning of the year....it is more on the sack when not erect...and right at the base when erect. I went to the std clinic last year and got it checked. Between 4 different docs they all said it wasn't genital warts...but that it COULD BE molluscum. They froze it off and everything was fine. They didn't say anything about it being genital warts. They were 100% sure of it...and between 4 docs...i think it is a safe bet to believe them.

Well, the same growth is back and in the general same spot....it looks the same and really doesn't look like GW. It looks more like a skin tag to me as i have had a problem with them around my neck. I had them removed by freezing. I went to the clinic 2 weeks ago to get it froze off again, and when the nurse saw it she said it was gw. I told her about the last time I was there and what the 4 doctors had said but she was 100% sure it was gw. She said that when froze genital warts turn white....which it did. So I'm confused, is it molluscum, genital warts, or a skin tag?

I had a similar problem. It is true any sticky outy bit of skin that is frozen turns white BUT when a wart is frozen apparently it tends to "glow" for longer than normal skin, so they put it. I would just get it treated and behave as if it was-protected sex etc to steer on the side of caution...you dont wana find out it was a wart from a sexual partner who gets it off you!

Thank you for the reply. It has given me some peace of mind. To be honest....after reading many posts on here...I am not really too worried if it is gw. I won't sit around depressed that's for sure...lol. Thanks again.

I don't know for certain, but my guess is that any skin that is frozen would turn white.

One thing you can count on with getting many diagnosis, is that you will eventually get one that conflicts with the consensus.

Either way, if the bumps don't come back in the following months, there is nothing to worry about.
