Hi. I am 23 and I've been having irregular bleedins and a period that lasts 2 weeks for the last 3 months. My Dr. recomended a PAPPap smear Pap smears and cervical cancer and a endovaginal sonogram. I did both, but I am still waiting for the results. I was once diagnosed with HPV and mild dysplasia both my body heeled himself. I am really concern. My sonograms says:
Findings:
The uterus measures 9.2 x 4.8 x 6.0 cm. The endometrial stripe is significantly thickened at approximately 2.6 cm. This thickening accounts for an iso-echoic area at 2.0 x 2.0 cm which may represent part of the endometrium however a submucosal fibroidFibroid tumors Uterine fibroids, a polyp, or a clotBlood clots may also be considered. Therefore a follow up is recommended.
The left ovary measures 3.2 x 2.3 x 1.9 cm. The left ovary shows a complex cyst at 1.4 x 1.4. There is a trace of minimal free fluid on the left adnexa.
Impression:
Thickened heterogeneous endometrium for wich an additional mucosal or endometrial lesion or blood clotBlood clots is being considered based on this examination. In view of these findings, follow up is suggested if it is clinically indicated.
I want to know if this indicates cancer or a malign tumor. I have to wait until the 26 for my appointment. Thanks
