CONGRATS !!! Taking care of our bodies and helping it as much as we can to fight the virus is the best thing that we can do. It's a shame that some doctors don't tell us more of the known natural ways that we can help our bodies...i'm amazed @ how many stories that I'v eread where the doc says you have hpv BUT NEVER tells their patients about taking vit e/l-lysine/leafy greens..kale,broc,etc..
GOOD FOR YOU
Great news here! HPV can be defeated with luck and hard work. I haven't been on this site in several months as I have been just trying to not think about my hpv ALL of the time. My doctor had me on a high curcumin program with regular exercise, weight and diet management, and a lot of supplements and I just got the results of my 3rd colposcopy. It showed a normal PAP, normal biopsy and that my body has defeated the hpv-26 virus which was the high risk virus that I was carrying. I still have the hpv-61 low risk virus (no warts associated with this one) and am hopeful that with a continued program of healthy living, I will be able to defeat the hpv-61 too. Of course, like all of you, my goal is just to avoid getting cancer. I just wanted you to know that it actually is possible to suppress a virus enough to not even test positive for it!! By the way, getting immunizations like the flu shot and your tettanus booster are good ways, according to my doctor, to jumpstart your immune system and boost your immunity to things other than the one the shot focuses on. I think about everyone on this site daily and pray for you (and me) often. Good luck to us all. Happy
My doc told me to
1. take a multi w/ folic and a l-lysine supplement..together they help maintain/stimulate/removal of damaged cells.
2. reduce stress
3. eat healthy..fruits/veggies..leafy greens (broc./spinach/cauliflower/kale)
4. exercise/rest
I also take a omega supplement (fish/olive oil/flaxseed combo) and a natural supplement called Papillex..check it out..it helps to boost the body's natural immune system to suppres the virus
Believe me, I understand how you feel as I have felt the same way myself. My best advice is to learn all you can about hpv. Surprisingly, most people DO have hpv, but they are unaware because their immune system takes care of the virus before it can cause any symptoms. Hpv is pretty darn common! I used to get depressed trying to deal with the stigma of having acquired a virus which is known as an std but now I have a wealth of information on the subject and just about EVERYONE with the exception of two virgins gets hpv. What's next should be to identify and address WHY you even found out you have hpv in the first place. Are you taking birth control? Do you take folic acid? I have read there is a connection between taking birth control and folic acid deficiency. I read in a study that women with cervical dysplasia were given folic acid and in the majority of them, their dysplasia was reversed. Do you eat a lot of sugar? (Read the ingredients carefully). Sugar only takes 20 to 30 minutes (so I have read) to impair the immune system, and a good majority of processed food has it. Whatever the problem may be, be sure to identify and address it, and get ready to kick hpv's butt :)
When you first learn about having HPV..it's normal to feel ALL of the things that you feel ..but know that you're not alone. This isn't a sign of infidelity. The virus can lay dormant for years/decades..you'll NEVER know who gave it to who...or when. You BOTH more than likely have it (whether it's high or low). Not having an abnormal PAP doesn't mean that you don't have HPV ( I have high risk hpv BUT a normal pap). It's possible o have both high and low risk HPV (low/warts and high/increases risk of cancer..but DOESN'T mean you will).
You need to just let him know by educating yourself..you may want to ask him to come w/ you to your next gyn appt. I would tell him to go to a doctor again..get a second opinion.
you never mentioned which type of hpv you have low/high?
