Fordyce condition caused by a form of HPV ?

Hi,   about 14 years ago (i'm 33 now) I started to get lots of small white lumps on my Penis and scrotum a few weeks after having unprotected sex with my Girlfriend at the time, then found out she had had unprotected sex with quite a few men before me.., I got them checked by my GP and he said they were Fordyce spots that are quite common and nothing to worry about.  Over the years they have got a lot worse and spread all over my body, my top lip and under my eyes also being quite noticable. They manifest in thicker skin as white blotches under the skin on my hands and feet.  About 10 years ago I noticed that my Girlfriend at the time (different Girl) developing the same type of lumps on her Vagina, after going to the Doctors with my concerns he said it must be coincidental as Fordyce spots are not contageous and they are quite common..

Over the years I have also been feeling generally unwell all the time, fatigued, bouts of fever and often get night sweats etc

I am now married for the last 6 years and my wife too has developed lumps at first on her vagina and now spread all over her body.  There was definately no lumps on her when we met...

So I am now convinced that Fordyce spots (or mine at least) have been caused by a virus from a previous sexual partner and I have transmitted it to partners over the years..  There are a few other symptoms that also go with it but i'll not go into them now..

Could this be possible ?  and could it be a form of HPV ?

Go to a doctor, with your wife and ask...but I think this may well be something thats in your head.

Fordyce spots are not caused by a virus.

HPV typically does not last for more than 2 years anyway.
