Gardasil after 2 treatments

by collegeboy969, Nov 15, 2008 10:39PM
I was recently diagnosed with genital warts, Must have got it from my ex. Anyway, When I started dating and sleeping with the new gf she had received 2 of her 3 gardasil shots, the third has now been received. How effective is gardasil after 2 shots, should I be stressed about spreading my HPV to her? I am bugging her to go to the doc, but they said she should just come at her annual OB appt. How effective is gardasil after 2 shots?

to be extra sure that her body is fully immuned to the virus strains, she should have completed her course of 3 gardasil shots... answer to your question can't be given with certainity because it depedns if her body was able to build the immunity and resistant to the virus in 2 shots...

you might benefit from visiting http://www.gardasil.com/hpv/index.html

I would appreciate, if you can share with us the answer you get from the site...

I am having trouble finding any consistent data. The website does not say. I have found info that says protection is around 95% after 2 shots and info that says there is 0% protections without all 3. I am kinda nervous. I would feel AWFUL if I gave her anything.
If anyone knows the answer, please help!

Forget the nervousness. Look up Mike Adams the Health Ranger and what he has to say about gardasil. You might not even want your third shot. I'm sure as hell not getting my third one.

I would go with your finding of around 95% protection after 2 shots... the body's immune system start building antibodies as soon as it receives the first vaccination shot... but it makes only enough that it can overcome the first shot... the second shot awakens/ triggers the immune system again making more antibodies and enough to fight the virus... the third shot to my guess is just to make immune more strengthen however it already has enough to deal with the virus...

Have you read anything about gardasil being a hoax? I am interested to know what you think about that. You seem to have quite a bit of info at your disposal. I have to admit I am freaking out a little since I've had two of the three shots now...

Though I'm giving you some points but I'm still in favor of getting vaccination...

-  duration of immunity is NOT KNOWN

- Vaccines offer NO PROTECTION for other “high risk” HPV subtypes (currently screening for 15 subtypes) which cause 30% of cervical cancers

- The vaccine will NOT PROTECT against or TREAT infections in people who have
already had an infection with HPV-16, HPV-18, HPV-6 or HPV-11

- Vaccines ONLY EFFECTIVE if administered before people are exposed to HPV

- When researching the effectiveness of the vaccine Merck utilized adult data to “predict”
the immune response in children which does not meet scientific research standards. No
evidence the vaccine prevents anything when given to children ages 9-12.

- Maximum median follow up in ANY of the studies was 4 years. Sexually transmitted HPV requires 10 or more years from time of infection to development of cervical cancer.

- Vaccine is first and only for sexually transmitted disease under consideration for school
mandate. Unlike measles and all other communicable diseases requiring vaccination for
school you become infected with HPV only through vaginal or anal intercourse or a direct skin to skin contact.

Sorry to hear about your problem.  You need to take care of yourself first.  If your girlfriend doesn't have HPV.   Gardasil only protects against 4 strains of HPV.  It is a joke.  Good luck.  Condoms do not prevent hpv and it can also be spread through oral sex.  I feel bad for you kids good luck.  All I worried about was aids.....when I was young never heard of hpv.  Until gardahell.
