Genital Warts appeared again after 2 cryotherapies

I've had genital warts for couple of months and finally decided to go treat them. The doctor did 2 cryotherapies within 10 days and they seemed to be gone. But after 2-3 weeks they appeared again. So i had to go back for another treatment. I'm really scared as they showed up again. Is this normal to have to do more than 2 freezing treatments? Can anyone give more details as im scared why they didn't disappear totally.

There is no simple answer to this question. About 10% of people who have GWs get more of them. If you smoke cigs, then this is one reason for their return. Some believe that a weak immune system (from stress, insomina, bad diet, not exercising, not taking vitamins, illness, pregnancy, booze, etc) can lead to more warts. Certainly if you are still having sex (safe or not), this can lead to more GWs as your body needs time to recover.

The recovery phase after GWs are removed should be time to improve your health and give your body a chance to fight the virus. Most people refrain from sex for 3-12 months. Some use this time to clean up their life (no booze, no cigs, healthy diet, supplements/vitamins, mediation, get more rest, reduce stress, no 420, exercise).
