Genital warts and safe sex??

Hello, this is my first post.  I have been diagnosed with genital warts, condyloma accuminata confirmed through biopsy.  In the bioposy, my doctor also removed some of the lesions but they all grew back.  Due to the location, I can not use Aldara, the next option is laser treatment but the biopsy/removal was SOOO painful that I do not want to resort to another painful procedure that may only be temporary.

I have been trying some natural treatments, ways to boost my immune system.  In the meantime I am dating and have not had sex since being diagnosed.  The thing that makes it most difficult is that I have NEVER had unprotected vaginal intercourse so this whole situation becomes very frustrating,

There is just nothing out there for us with genital warts :(  And the term "safe" sex with  a condom is definitely not the truth.

Is there any way to have safer sex?   If my lesions are gone is it just as unsafe/contagious?

Thank you in advance, in the meantime I am continuing to look through the forum.

Of course condoms are always safer, it's just frustrating, they should make latex boxer briefs!  or space suits haha

Anyone ever try dental dams?

I've discovered in reading about essential oils that "naked" viruses not enveloped are sensitive to oils with high levels of terpenoid ketones (chemical constituents) ...a few are sage, rosemary...and cinnamon I think...so that's my next plan.

I've been trying antiviral oils like oregano (which burns suppper bad) but that is apparently better for other types of viruses.

so I'll definitely post on here if I find any results.  I'm determined to kick this thing with natural healing!

Hmm, single and looking? maybe we could work something out??? I'm not a scientist so all I can tell you is what I've read.....the hpv virus is so small that it can pennentrate thru an intact/ "safe" condom??? my opinion.....at this point there is no such thing as safe sex???

Using a condom is considered the best way to stop transmitting the virus, although as you found out the hard way it's not always 100 percent. This is because the condom does not cover all of the infected area, where a wart may be.

It is considered a lot safer to have protected sex whilst there are no warts present, and to make sure the condom is on from before clothes were even taken off. A person is much more contagious when warts are present because warts bring the virus to the very surface of the skin.

Warts may dissapear on there own, they may grow and multiply or they may stay the way they are. How to predict which they do is impossible and warts are thought to respond better to early treatment rather than being left alone as they can become more stubborn and resistant to treatment.

I feel for you because I experienced bad side effects to aldara which left me in a lot of pain, it really isn't nice but in my opinion it is the safest option.
