Genital warts? but no std on pap test

by 21filipina2008, Sep 07, 2008 09:00AM
Last month i had my 1st pap test. As per my OB i hav abnormal discharge and i have genital warts. my tests came out, i have a nab cyst on my cervix doc says its because i have an infection, but not std as per test results. she already gave me antibiotics for the infection, thou wer not sure yet wat it is, she said that the antibiotics is strong it'll battle what ever infection i have. thou she also suggested a dna test for hpv to be done next week after i undergo a surgery to remove the genital warts. she advised me that surgery is the best way to remove the warts, and that it wont come back unless i engage to having sex again. i would just like to get your opinion on this. if the warts are not from hpv, and isnt severe (as per my ob its still in its early stage) is there any other way to cure it. im really devastated, im only 21, my mom works out of the country, and i cant talk to my dad about it, so im facing this alone.. im scared.

did ur doctor do a scraping culture the wart to see xactly what it is?u describe uncertainty here....there are growths that can occur minus them being HPV warts....is good to have them removed and then it sounds like they will biopsy them to see xactly what they r yes?
