I just found out that I have Genital Warts, and that my wife also has HPV. How is this going to effect our life? How is it going to effect our 6 month old son's life? How is this going to effect the future of having another child?
we have been married for 1 year, and neither one of us had anything that we knew of, and i have been faithful to my wife. i am being treated the best that i can be considering i am in iraq right now. so i have littleLittle noses decongestant Little tummys access to the magicMagic bullet medical wonders that i would have state-side. if it can go away for women, then why does the internet say that there is no cure? i guess if it goes away on its own, there would be no cure. right? how is this going to affect me now that i have genital warts though. my wife's hpv could go away, but i am stuck with this. i have never had this before so how is it going to effect our sex life? is it over?
there are 30 diff strains of HPV virus...2 of which r wart bearing.the kind that goes cervical on a woman can clear the body estimated time 6-18 mos.given a healthy immune system but then it goes dormant. She cannot get the same strain but if re-xposed to another diff strain she can get that one!for a guy a HPV virus lives in skin areas not covered by a condom...thighs ,scrotum,butt..etc.Are u a heavy smoker?there is research that states smoking can suppress the immune system...most genital warts have an incubation period 3-12 mos. and appear rather quickly..to appear in a year is odd BUT u r in a high stress scene and i've also read that can trigger outbreak. Most get these burned off, they can re-appear and have to be burned off a second time.No access to aldara cream over there in med supply?did doc xamine u?so i take it ur wife knows these appeared?have u had sexual contact over there minus a full act with someone who has these or had them recently burned off?no mean 2 offend..2 me the dumbest question is the one not asked.many couples go thru this in this forum and on others.....they do resolve it and move forward.
if you are asking if i have slept with someone other than my wife, the answer is no, not since before we got together almost 2 years ago. I am a smoker, but not a heavy one. they have aldara cream here, but that is the only treatment they have here. so you are saying that if we were to have sex, she will not get it again. b/c she already has it, but it will reappear eventually like it or not? and for me, it is always going to be in my skin?..... it is our intent to work with this upset. well it has been an upset for the both of us....and we are looking for ways to possibly prevent outbreaks in the future.
ok u get these warts burned off...if they come back u may have to get them re-burned off..i hear aldara will do that.Ur body will clear this strain 6-18 mos..HPV warts are strains 6 and 11..u can clear one...and get re-xposed to another and get it.But u have no need to worry about that from what u state. She will clear the cervical HPV-she has this right?and it will go dormant.if both of u do not have any other partners then no need of being re-xposed to new virus strain. When do u 2 get 2 see each other again?
well that is good to know. that means that it ma go dormant right?yes she has cervical HPV. it was found during her pap. i will get to see her again sometime around the end of april, early may. that is the projected time frame of our return, so it is not certain of exactly when i will see her next, i can't tell you that.
yes according to the Doctors forum and ashastd.org.....damn good website, virus goes dormant and just stays in body.I have high risk HPV dx'd last year.Had LEEP surgery, not everyone has to have them.My post pap showed nor more bad cells on cervix but virus most likely dormant. If u have these warts now and their burned off....and u see her in 5 months...that virus is still in ur skin and u 2 would be taking a risk to have sex...she could pick up wart strain in addition to what she has. This sucks eh?There are many who say ah what the heck so many have this..live ur life....but getting warts and having to have them burned off would b no picnic.Glad ur getting this taken care of.
the strain that causes cervical hpv and the strain that causes genital warts are two different strains. Her genital strain could have come from u or someone else but ur wart strain is from someone else not her if she doesn't have warts either.
