HPV Transmission

I am a 30 year old male.  Just noticed what looks like Genital Warts.  Going to the DR. to get tested but before hand I have a few questions.

1.)  Is there a test to tell me what type of HPV I have?

2.)  Can warts clear up on their own?

3.)  Once cleared up on their own or from treatment.  I can still pass the virus if warts are not present?

4.)  Can my girlfriend catch my HPV through oral sex, being blunt she swallows.  Can that lead to more problems?

5.)  Can I pass the warts to other parts of my body from touching my penis, using a wash towel  ect... ?

Thank you for your time.

I'm not sure about that.  I don't think so but it seems like a possibility as well.  I forget what the general wisdom is on this.  You should search keywords on the "Ask An Expert -STDs" forum and see what you can find.  I guarantee you it'll be there.  Good luck.  Oh, if you go to the dermatologist and get anything removed, ask for this cream they can put on you after the warts are removed.  My new derm electro-cauterized me, then applied what I remember as being this acidic liquid that I was supposed to leave on for two to four hours after.  The science supposedly was that there may be micro warts we can't see readily with the naked eye as well as virus infected skin cells that aren't warting up so this acidic solution F's em up somehow.  Hell, I'm super down for that.  Why no other derms or docs ever talked about is beyond me.  Maybe it's a croc but still worth it in my opinion

Thank you for your input.

Another question.

While masturbating can I infect other parts of my penis?

1.)  Is there a test to tell me what type of HPV I have?
YES THERE IS.  YOU HAVE TO GET THE WART REMOVED AND BIOPSIED.  MOST DOCTORS WILL TRY AND TALK YOU OUT OF THIS BUT IT'S YOUR CALL OF COURSE.  BE SURE TO ASK ABOUT SCARRING PROBABILITY IF YOU OPT FOR THIS AS I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE CHANCES ARE.
2.)  Can warts clear up on their own?
YES, WARTS AS WELL AS HIGH RISK NON-WART HPV CLEAR UP ON THEIR OWN.  STUDIES SHOW THAT THIS TAKES ANYWHERE FROM ABOUT 9 MONTHS TO THREE YEARS WITH SOMEWHERE BETWEEN A YEAR AND TWO THE MEAN.  EXPECT TO VISIT THE DOCTOR AT LEAST TWICE OR THRICE BUT UP TO TEN OR MORE TIMES DURING THIS PERIOD.
3.)  Once cleared up on their own or from treatment.  I can still pass the virus if warts are not present?
WHILE YOUR BODY IS ATTACKING THE VIRUS AND YOU HAVE STILL NOT GONE BETWEEN THREE AND SIX MONTHS SINCE YOUR LAST WART OUTBREAK, YOU CAN POSSIBLY BE CONTAGIOUS WITHOUT WARTS PRESENT, OF COURSE MUCH LESS SO THAN IF YOU HAVE A WART PRESENT.  I HAD TONS OF UNPROTECTED SEX AND ORAL FROM MY EX, EVEN HAD AN OUTBREAK TWO DAYS LATER AND SHE DOESN'T HAVE WARTS AND IT'S BEEN SIX MONTHS NOW.  THAT'S NOT BIBLE THOUGH.  I'M JUST ONE STORY.
4.)  Can my girlfriend catch my HPV through oral sex, being blunt she swallows.  Can that lead to more problems?
YES BUT THE EXPERTS SAY IT'S NOT COMMON.  THAT SAID, SEARCH THIS FORUM AND YOU'LL FIND THOSE THAT DO HAVE ORAL HPV FROM BLOWJOBS AND CUNNILIGUS.  SUPPOSEDLY IT'S RARE BUT IF YOU BIOPSY YOURS AND KNOW THE STRAIN YOU CAN GAUGE THE LIKELIHOOD OF TRANSFER.  CERTAIN STRAINS ARE MORE COMMON ORALLY.  DON'T KNOW IF SWALLOWING MATTERS BUT MAYBE ALLOW HER TO PASS ON THAT OUTA KINDNESS.  :)
5.)  Can I pass the warts to other parts of my body from touching my penis, using a wash towel  ect... ?
SUPPOSEDLY YOU CANNOT.  I GUESS IT'S POSSIBLE IF YOU HAVE AN ACTIVE INFECTION AND RUB YOUR TOWEL ALL OVER THE WART AND THEN BETWEEN HER LEGS BUT THE PROBABILITY IS VIRTUALLY NIL HERE.  DO NOT EVER WORRY ABOUT THIS MODE OF TRANSFER.  IT'S LIKE A LIGHTNING STRIKE TO YOUR JUNK.   IT WON'T HAPPEN.  YOU ALSO CANNOT GET IT ON YOUR HAND FOR INSTANCE.  NOT GENITAL HPV ANYWAY.
