HPV and Oral transmission

Hi, my girlfriend has recently told me that she was diagnosed with HPV over a year ago and that it had caused her to have genital warts. She only had one breakout which was the first time she got them and was diagnosed. We feel that our relationship has come to a point where we could have sex, but I have a lot of questions still.

If I were to perform oral sex on her, even if her HPV was in remission at the time, would I get warts in or around my mouth?  And If we have sex and I get HPV from her, would the strain that she has cause me to develop genital warts as well?

Thanks alot for the information, that's a big help. I'm also starting to change my diet to boost my immune system just in case, since I'm not sure how strong mine is.

If her HPV is still active then you could get this via oral or through penetration.

BUT, the oral risk is extremely low even lower for males giving females oral. and it is not really known what the effects of HPV of the mouth is... My bf has performed oral
Yes the strain that she has would cause genital warts for you, you could try protection, that would decrease your chances (not 100%).

HPV is a skin to skin contact so this is a risk you would be putting yourself at, But in most HPV cases HPV will clear it self with in2 years. and IF you did get it A) you may never know it as most ppl don't, B) you can have it treated, or C) it could resolve.
