. Some are flesh colored but when the penis is erect they sometimes look like red dots. I went to my doctor and he diagnosed me with prostatis (prostate infection). Put me on cipro and the pain in my groin seems to be going away. I asked him about the bumps and he told me it is definately not herpes and said its highly doubtful gential (genital) warts. He said he seen many warts and it looks nothing like what i have. However he did no testing on me just did a prostate exam and looked and the bumps. He just told me to ignore the bumps which i find odd. Well later i find out the girl had a pap smear and it came back abnormal. I am wondering what causes the abnormal pap smear, if it is caused by prostatis or my doctor misdiagnosed me and I have hpv. Please help.
If you have slept with more than 3 people in your lifetime, you have already been exposed to on of the 40 types of HPV. Everyone gets it at some point if they are sexually active. You could have gotten another type of HPV that you were never exposed to from that sexual contact however the bumps don't sound like warts. They sound some sort of dermatitis. Keep a watch on the bumps and if they don't go away or seem to get worse in the next few weeks, see a different doctor. Unfortunately, with a man, only visual diagnosis is possible with HPV. There is no test for men like there is for women. Isn't that special.
