have u 2 been mutually monogomous for the past 5 years?did she have an wart outbreak externally and u did as well?does ur doctor think its a HPV wart?did he culture it?i have a male client who had HPV warts at age 19.He is 34 now..has outbreaks when he is stressed out but estranged wife has put him at risk with her crack/prostitution BS.ur girlfriend would notice an outbreak of HPV warts on herself..or are they internal?
We have been monogomous in our relationship. She told me out her HPV several years ago but has not had any signs or symptoms. When I went to the doctor, he looked at it, felt it and said it was a skin tag, He didn't take much time to exam it and it just worries me that it might be from the HPV. She was told by her OBGYN that an outbreak chances might increase with her being pregnant. What kind of Dr. should I see? A urologist or a dermatology doctor?
if ur girl had HPV on her cervix this type does not cause warts.Cervical HPV and genital wart HPV are caused by diff strainsStrains but she could have both.to ease ur mind have ur doc refer u to a dermatologist.
The other clinic who took my first couple pap smears in the span of 2-6 years ago did not do that test.So I dont have a clue when I was trully positive.
I wonder if my hubby is the carrier? We havent roll out that one yet.
If he is not the carrier, when could the initial infection occured?
By rule of thumb, the loger you go without an outbreak, the less likely it is to happen again! Some ppl have a recurrence, but generally once theyv been gone for more than a year its not likely they will come back...I know ppl who had one occurance 13yrs/8yrs and myself 2,5yrs ago!!! Chances of a recurrance is higher when the immune system is low, ie during a strong disease or during pregnancy, but often after a long period like 5yrs the immune system has a good hold over suppressing an outbreak by this stage...so it does happen, but its not the norm! Assuming your GF had vissible warts, if their wer non present during her pregnancy, the chances of it being transmitted to you are virtually zero! Given that the doctor a qualified health specialist has said it is a skin tag, NOT a wart, Id believe him...go for a second opinion if it will make you feel better.
At the end of the day, even if it is warts, 80% of ppl have one type or another, some show symptoms, others dont, the virus clears within 2yrs and they are harmless (the wart causing strands). You are in a serious, monogomous relationship, you have a baby so Im assuming a future together...so I wouldnt see it as a big deal.
