HPV signs the next week?

A few years ago while I was off and on with my ex, I saw another man.  We had unprotected sex.  5 days later after that one night encounter, I slept with my ex.  About 6 days later, my ex said he noticed some bumps on the head of his penis.  He blames me that I have given him an STD.  I'm confused since, well- he slept around and did so even while we were stable.  I'm still curious as to how long does it take for HPV signs to even show.  I heard they take weeks to even show.  If I was the one who gave it to him, is it more likely possible that he'd have HPV signs 6 days later?  I've been tormented as the culprit of the STD-giver....I still think about it to this day.

if it is genital warts ur describing and have both of u been 2 doc 2 b sure?and if u and he have had differnet partners within the year..hard to tell time frame and who xactly they came from...next best move is for the both of u 2 seek medical evaluation/treatment!
