I would love to give you the information but you seem to be deleting all my comments.  Oh well, you really weren't open minded enough to accept opinions other than your own.

i think u should look in the mirror regarding the statement no one should be saying stuff they know nothing about. And if ur doctor truly b-lieves HPV is acquired thru towels glasses handshakes he needs to research Dr.Hook and Handsfields forum on HPV transmission.

I have researched hpv, read a ton.  My information comes from my own dr. (an expert on HPV) and  I am also a fan of the two dr's on the STD forum and read everything they say and research.  I have it and got it from having sex NOT from a handshake.

Are you a dr?  You sound like an ignoramous to me.  HPV from a handshake.  Get real.  Why don't you let your "happyfeet" walk you to a good dr instead of the snakeoil salesmen you been going to.

I have to agree with ibizan, however you don't have to have sexual intercourse to get get HPV.  Just rolling around a bed (or in the back of a truck) and genitals touching and rubbing against each other can transmit HPV.

Muscrat - maybe sharing a towel if it's done quickly but certainly not by a handshake.  Your dr. needs to be educated a little better  so that s/he doesn't give out  such lame advice.

I do think that the majority of sexually active people has already been exposed to at least 1 of the sexually transmitted HPV's.  Even the dr's on the STD forum say that only virgins or couples that were virgins and remained monogomous may never get HPV.  Basically, you have to never have sexual contact with anyone to not get this disease and who does that?  Most people need to be touched sexually.  It's an extremely common disease and the fact that it is sexually transmitted seems to give it a bad stigma however a cold can also be considered an STD if you think about that for a minute.
