Recently, my doctor confirmed my symptoms as HPV. My wife and I are married for almost 30 years. My son (23 years old) acquired HPV last year and he is not treating his symptoms regularly. He currently doesn't live with us but visits occasionally and spent a month with us last summerSummers eve anti-itch. could sharing the toilet seat be the cause of my infection?
I have never heard a doctor mention toilet seat as a way to transmit HPV, although it could be theoretically possible. However, ost of the information I have gathered states that without direct skin to skin contact, the chance of spreading HPV is near zero.
It is not all that uncommon for an old infection to activate years after transmission. This could be the source of your warts.
i dont know how true the sharing towels is..... i think alex is right more skin to skin contact... i have asked my doctor MANY MANY MANY times about things like that and have never gotten and answer like " yes towel sharing spreads it"..... even fingering someone after touching you infected body and spreading it is very uncommon......

If this happens at all, it is extremely uncommon.
